In December 2024, the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings upgraded the long-term credit ratings of JSC "Freedom Finance" and Freedom Finance Global PLC from "B" to "B+" and affirmed their short-term credit ratings at "B." On the national scale, JSC "Freedom Finance" ratings were raised from "kzBBB-" to "kzBBB."

At the end of 2024, Freedom Broker received three awards from Astana International Exchange (AIX): JSC "Freedom Finance" was recognized as the Best Broker for Equity Instruments and, along with Freedom Finance Global, as the Best Broker for Debt Instruments. Additionally, JSC "Freedom Finance" was named the Best Investment Banking Team.

JSC "Freedom Finance" Results for 2024

As of January 1, 2025, assets decreased by KZT 31.3 billion (11%) compared to January 1, 2024, totaling KZT 285.7 billion. The decrease was due to a reduction in securities volume in the trading portfolio by KZT 58.9 billion (38%) after realizing gains on previously acquired securities.

Liabilities decreased by KZT 41 billion (33.1%) to KZT 123.7 billion due to a KZT 40.3 billion (33.2%) reduction in direct REPO transactions.

Equity increased by KZT 9.7 billion (6.4%) compared to December 31, 2024, totaling KZT 162 billion. The authorized capital was increased by KZT 5 billion to KZT 103.5 billion.

Net profit increased by KZT 3.2 billion (51.6%) compared to the same period last year, reaching KZT 9.5 billion. This was largely driven by a KZT 5.7 billion (240%) increase in income from derivative financial instruments.

As of December 31, 2024, JSC "Freedom Finance" was an official market maker for 100 securities traded on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and 3 securities on Astana International Exchange (AIX). The company continues to lead the KASE member activity ranking. In 2024, JSC "Freedom Finance" ranked first in three market segments: equity and debt securities, and REPO transactions.

Freedom Finance Global Results for the Three Quarters of the 2025 Fiscal Year

As of the third quarter of the 2025 fiscal year, Freedom Finance Global's assets amounted to USD 264.7 million, reflecting an 18% growth since the beginning of the fiscal year due to an increase in the company's trading portfolio by USD 100.2 million (186%).

Liabilities increased by USD 70 million (78.9%) during the reporting period, reaching USD 158.7 million due to a rise in dividend payments to shareholders by USD 75.6 million (270%).

As of December 31, 2024, equity stood at USD 106 million, a 22% decrease since the beginning of the year due to a decline in retained earnings following dividend payments during the reporting period.

Net profit for the reporting period was USD 117.6 million, showing a 2% increase compared to the same period last year.
